Real Gold Foil Lampwork Bead - Hand blown Murano Style glass beads will fit right in with your Pandora charms.
- These large hole round beads glimmer with the light reflective quality of the genuine Gold foil that is sandwiched inside Aqua glass.
- The hole is lined with silver plated base metal, grommet style. This protects the glass from any friction that occurs with wear.
- Center is not threaded, it will simply slide on to your chain.
- These beads are handmade, so while they are all very similar, they may not be exactly identical to the photo.
- Quantity: 1 Gold Foil large hole glass bead.
- Approximate Measurements: 14mm diameter, 10mm thick. Inner diameter of hole is approximately 4.5mm in diameter. Please check the measurement of the end your chain carefully to make sure the bead will fit!

I was a bit nervous about the quality of this bead. It looked a little oddly shaped in the advertised picture. I was so pleased when it arrived. It is centered nicely and the color is very pretty. Obviously not the same quality as an authentic Pandora / Chamilia murano bead but a tremendous value at $2. It's only very noticable if you look very closely when they are side by side with your more expensive beads. I purchased several designs and was very happy. I placed another order the next week. I really like these beads much more than I expected too given that they were so inexpensive.
These beads are a great way to get started with a charm bracelet if you can't afford to spend $300 or more right in the beginning. |
misleading title; NOT Murano glass

Murano is not a "style". It is an island off the coast of Venice. A place which has a reputation for high quality original glass art. This is a cheap Chinese imitation, one that *seems* like a bargain until you look at what these beads usually sell for. they are generally sold by the dozen or pound, not individually, and would sell at a bead store for pennies apiece. that is because these are production line beads and not made to the same standard.
there are beads from Murano which are hundreds of years old. They last because they are annealed in a kiln to remove stresses introduced in the process of winding glass.
Current Chinese production line beads are not kiln annealed and do not last. they can break, or even explode because they are not annealed.
I would not even be writing this review, but for the misleading title, which I personally find offensive. It is not fair or right to use a NAME sysnonymous with a group of artists who train for years, produce their work with care and inspect each piece individually before it is sold with work which, in brief, is not up to that standard.
Murano is not a style. It is a name. Please stop abusing it for your own profit. it just isn't right. |
